The form of this development was determined by the curved streetscape of Adelaide at Jarvis, in the heart of the city’s Old Town Toronto neighbourhood. This downtown landmark will serve as a counterpoint to the historic setting, and mark the visual terminus of Adelaide Street. On the perimeter of St. James’ Park, the stepped terraces and balconies provide views of the park, St. James’ Cathedral and the downtown core. Incorporating a collection of townhouses, lofts, retail and two towers of residential condominiums, the complex will be centred on a landscaped courtyard and through-block pedestrian connections. The masonry podium takes its visual cues from the surrounding industrial buildings. Rising from the base of the building, the 24-storey tower dematerializes into an extensive glass curtain wall.
