Senior Interior Designer

We are seeking a creative, conceptual Senior Interior Designer to join our Interior Design team at Hariri Pontarini Architects. This is a critical role that would oversee the schematic design, design development, and project management for our high-end boutique residential houses and condominiums, cultural, one-of-a-kind healthcare projects, and product design. The successful candidate will be expected to manage all project-related tasks, client meetings, and contractor coordination while working directly with the Design Director and collaborating with fellow studio members, consultants, and artisans.
As we are a relatively young interior design studio within a larger setting of a successful and highly established architectural office, the successful candidate will have the ability to contribute to the growth and development of new ideas and innovative design directions.
As a Senior Interior Designer, you will be:
- Collaborating with the Design Director on initiating new design strategies and complete execution of projects from concept to construction;
- Leading the project team and execute knowledge in project management, budgets, schedules, and architectural standards;
- Leading the project independently and managing junior/intermediate members of the team;
- Creating inspiring and unique design concepts based on client needs, and site conditions with a strong understanding of HPA design vision and language;
- Presenting ideas efficiently and coherently through hand/computer sketching, floor layouts, finishes selection, and details;
- Developing compelling visual stories, inspiration boards, and renders of spaces;
- Developing construction details and documents;
- Supporting the team in refining and improve internal drawing standards.
As a Senior Interior Designer, you will have:
- An Interior Design or Architecture degree that is an accredited 4-year program;
- 7+ years of experience in related areas of Interior Design & Architecture;
- Experience working on high-end boutique residential houses and condominiums, cultural, one-of-a-kind healthcare projects, and product design;
- Experience in managing a team and demonstrating excellent personal time management;
- Advance level of experience in AutoCAD, Sketchup and Adobe Creative Suite;
- Strong design sensibility and understanding of architectural spaces and concepts;
- knowledge of working drawings, construction and millwork details, and building codes;
- Effective verbal and visual communication skills;
- Ability to sketch and draw your ideas effortlessly on point;
- Extensive knowledge and constant quest for the latest products and materials in design, art, and architectural field.
