Toronto House combines a 57-storey tower with the heritage-designated Southam Press Building built in 1908. The redevelopment renovates the building and adds office space to the site, with the majority of the tower comprised of rental apartments. The new frontage is a dynamic extension of the street with a café and restaurant at the ground level that connects to the commercial area. The offices at Toronto House feature a mix of old and new, combining modern interior design with both a heritage facade and a high-performance curtainwall glazing. The office spaces will feature a raised floor, exposed concrete ceilings and Pendant LED lighting.

The inspiration for the interior design of Toronto House comes from the rich metals and natural wood of the traditional letter press, responding to the history of the building and its former use.

Juxtaposed against a backdrop of clean, white, minimal lines and forms, design elements such as sculptural forms and art - based on printing press and letterpress kits - strike a balance between the history and the rebirth of this development.

Our design concept is raw and refined with concrete, brick, metal and wood mingling beautifully alongside white embossed corian, backpainted glass, and crisp white drywall.
