Adidas Flagship Toronto

Toronto, ON

Hariri Pontarini Architects took on the challenge of creating this first-in-Canada retail approach by reconceiving what Adidas could be. Inspired by the iconic three-stripe logo and the possibilities for circulation within the space, a rich palette of materials was used to create distinguishing pieces. Curving around the exterior canopy, through the entrance, and along the spine of the shop, the feature lighting fixture defines the primary pathway, with turns at critical moments along the way. The custom fixture was crafted from LED lights inside milky Plexiglas to ensure soft, white, consistent lighting. The cash desk, lofted mezzanine, elegant glass partition, and curved stair with walnut tread add sophistication to the shopping experience.
