Canada Square

Driven by a strong belief that integrated vertical urbanism can create quality multi-functional communities, Canada Square will be a showcase for urban vitality in midtown Toronto. Divided into three precincts—mixed-use, residential, and civic—the development will feature five new towers, as well as generous amounts of open space spread over half of the 9.2-acre site. 

Designed to establish a distinctive identity, a large civic square emerged as the anchor and key public amenity. Situated at the heart of the plan, it will offer the community a significant outdoor space animated by retail frontages. Extensive landscaping and lighting will unify the development, creating a cohesive whole across architecture, public realm, and the existing urban fabric. The Canada Square redevelopment will unlock the potential of the site to deliver new amenities, improve pedestrian access, leverage transit connectivity, and infuse green space and porosity into the neighbourhood.
