RioCan Colossus Centre

Playing an integral role in the long-term transformative vision for City of Vaughan, HPA is currently leading the master plan at the RioCan Colossus Centre. Located at Highway 7 and Weston Road, this 25-acre project is anticipated to become a landmark neighbourhood for the City, weaving in a framework grid of streets, transit-infrastructure, and ample public space to unite the entire mixed-use community. Within the site’s three precincts in the north, southwest, and southeast, there will be a variety of both residential and commercial towers integrated throughout the site, ranging from 8 to 55 storeys in height. The towers will accommodate about 13,000 residential units and will aim to establish the grounds for thousands of new employment opportunities for inhabitants of the area. At the heart of the community will be the Colossus Park, full of inviting, public space and community activity to serve the planned neighbourhood.
