Tricon Capital Interior

Toronto, ON

Occupying the top two floors of the recently completed 7 St. Thomas commercial building, the interior fit-out of the Tricon Capital office takes advantage of the penthouse space with large windows that allow generous natural light and expansive views of the streetscape below. 7 St. Thomas, a project led by David Pontarini, is a 100,000-square-foot mixed-use development around the corner from the busy Bay/Bloor intersection. Above the three-storey podium, which integrates six heritage townhouses, rises a nine-storey tower housing the new Tricon Capital office. The sleek, undulating ceramic-fritted curtain wall sets the tone for the modern interior of Tricon Capital’s new two-storey space.

The office is finished with carefully curated materials that strengthen its clean, modern design. The bespoke furniture was thoughtfully selected to enhance the contemporary character of the space, with several pieces custom-designed to fit the desired image.

Custom wood screens mirror the exterior curved glass.

The design of the office connects the two floors of workspace with a central stone stair that is lit from above by a large skylight and features a living wall, a vitalizing element that brings life and greenery to the space.

The main boardroom features wraparound windows offering stunning city views.

The Hive, the main hub of the office, is surrounded by workstations and private offices that hug the perimeter of the curved curtain wall.

The dark oak millwork surrounding the central spaces of the office contrasts with the light walls and white marble featured in the communal kitchen bar.

Custom seating areas and communal gathering spaces can be found throughout the office.
