She originally joined Hariri Pontarini Architects in 2013, contributing to several prominent residential and mixed-use high-rise projects in downtown Toronto. Before returning to HPA, Alejandra spent five years expanding her expertise in mid-rise multi-unit residential developments, student housing, mixed-use, and hospitality projects.

Alejandra has now rejoined the HPA as an Associate on the cultural and residential team and is currently working on a student housing project. Alejandra holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Costa Rica, where she also served as a research assistant, collaborating with at-risk communities through participatory design processes. She furthered her education with a Master of Advanced Studies in Collective Housing, a joint program between the Polytechnic University of Madrid and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich) and is also a LEED Accredited Professional in Building Design and Construction.
