Howard joined Hariri Pontarini Architects in 2003 and has since played a vital role in the development of HPA’s award-winning institutional projects. With over 25 years of industry experience, Howard has the extensive knowledge and necessary skills to see a project through to completion. During his time at HPA, Howard has been part of the teams responsible for several prestigious educational facilities including the University of Toronto’s Jackman Law Building, University of Toronto’s Max Gluskin House, University of Waterloo’s School of Pharmacy, McMaster University’s School of Medicine, and the Ivey Business School at Western University. He was also a member of the team who produced the Governor General Award-winning Casey House in Toronto.



As a Functional Space Programming Specialist, Howard guides clients and stakeholders in synthesizing complex project programming with design concepts and material solutions. Howard manages a rigorous approach to design and has overseen project presentation, documentation, and construction. Howard’s organizational skill, design sensibility, and collaborative expertise have reinforced the standard of excellence in HPA projects.
