Michael has nearly 20 years of experience in developing designs for large, urban mixed-use projects. As Project Manager and Lead Designer, Michael has extensive knowledge of the architectural design process and works with design teams to develop innovative ideas that lead to distinctive architectural solutions. He is involved throughout all phases of design and construction, leading client and consultant coordination, community meetings, and remaining involved throughout drawing preparation and tendering on numerous projects. Michael’s recent projects stand as testament to his versatility, spanning: The Well, a 7.7 acre mixed-use development that weaves a new district into the fabric of downtown Toronto, the King Portland Centre, a 438,000 sq.ft. commercial and residential development; FIVE: Condos at 5 St. Joseph, a 46-storey residential tower set above a restored heritage building; and Artists’ Alley, a mixed-use development occupying a large site in Toronto’s densely populated urban core.
As Associate Partner, Michael works closely with David Pontarini to develop and implement the strategic direction of the firm. Michael is an integral part of developing and maintaining relationships with key clients, bringing an in-depth knowledge of both the project and business sides of the firm. Responsible for the overall oversight of the design and management of major projects, Michael facilitates each detail of communication between the client, team members, and consultants by continually integrating his design skills and experience into the management of each project.
