A registered architect with 20 years of experience, Michael joined Hariri Pontarini Architects (HPA) in 2007. Over the course of his career, Michael has managed projects throughout all phases of design and construction – from programming and schematic design to detail drawings and contract administration. Michael is essential to the design development of HPA’s high-rise projects. As lead designer on some of HPA’s most prestigious projects, Michael uses his design expertise to develop innovative solutions and inventive schemes for a wide range of diversely scaled towers and developments. As Associate Partner, Michael’s portfolio stands as a testament to his versatility. He has worked on 7 St. Thomas, a nine-storey boutique commercial office building with heritage elements; a 54-storey hotel along with the 2.7 million square foot master plan of Edmonton’s Ice District; and One Bloor, a 75-storey mixed-use development situated at the corner of Yonge and Bloor Streets, one of Toronto’s busiest and most well-known intersections.
As Associate Partner, Michael works closely with David Pontarini to develop and implement the strategic direction of the firm. Michael is an integral part of developing and maintaining relationships with key clients, bringing an in-depth knowledge of both the project and business sides of the firm. Responsible for the overall oversight of the design and management of major projects, Michael facilitates each detail of communication between the client, team members, and consultants by continually integrating his design skills and experience into the management of each project.
